CORE Myofascial  Therapy

This special technique I learnt from George P. Kousaleos who is LMT and founder of CORE Institute. I founded George through the program called 2020 CORE Sports Bodywork & Functional Stretch Therapy Clinical Mentorship Program. In his program, I got taught Myofascial therapy protocols that developed over the past three decades by George Kousaleos.

Myofascial therapy helps improve  alignment through improving state of fascia. By using moderate pressure to the full body in a slow motion technique, the therapy releases tightness and tension  form the layer of fascia.  Myofascial therapy also releases tension from the musculature. CORE Myofascial therapy is the introduction to Structural Integration in more moderate way CORE Myofascial improve alignment, flexibility, and balance. CORE Myofascial therapy is a full body technique gradually increases awareness.

CORE Myofascial is an excellent therapy for athletes for intense training. 60 to 90 min sessions. The foundational

theory of CORE Myofascial was developed by George Kousaleos. The Myofascial therapy has five techniques that can be combined in sessions of 30, 60, or 90 min.

Myofascial Spreading

allows parts of the body to feel more light to superficial tissues and joints areas. This helps benefit the body for improvement of alignment in the body.

Arthrokinetics

Appiled to the most important joints of arms and legs. Force is applied to the center of joint which helps resume its normal shape and tone.

CORE "Back specific"

focus on musculature of shoulder, back, low back and hips. Slow  deep motion techniques is appiled using hand, fist, knuckle, fingers, forearm, and elbow. The slow deep pressure allows muscular fibers and fascia to be lengthened, flexible, and allow the body to go into deep fascia.

End Work

Techniques for adbomen, lumbar, shoulder, neck, and face to help relax. Also the parasympathetic system is encouraged to raise levels that helps benefits for better mood and focus.

5-Point  Awareness

Exercise that is done one minute a day and preformed before the session of any of the CORE myofascial therapies, that helps train the body for better alignment for the five segments of the body. Improves awareness.

More of Myofascial Massage

Myofascial massage is a technique used to treat injuries and discomfort, reducing pain and increasing range of motion. Myofascial massage differs from other types of massage in that it targets the fascia - the membrane surrounding muscles - rather than the muscle itself. Since fascia completely encases every muscle in the body, imbalances in the fascia can have serious effects on your range of motion and comfort level. While other forms of massage can overlook the fascia, myofascial massage focuses specifically on releasing tension in this important membrane.
